Who we are
Cookie Chomper is made by Invisible Shapes, Waterlei 248, 7325 GL Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 70894884, VAT number NL002349879B72. You can reach us at hello@cookiechomper.com. In these terms, "we" means Invisible Shapes and "you" means the person using Cookie Chomper.
What Cookie Chomper does
Cookie Chomper is a browser extension that answers cookie consent banners on your behalf by refusing optional cookies: it clicks a reject or necessary-only option, or switches optional categories off and saves. It never gives consent for you. Banners it cannot recognise are sent, in the limited form described in our privacy policy, to an AI service that helps find the refusing option.
We work hard to refuse every banner we can, but we can't promise that every banner on every site is refused. Websites change their banners, some offer no free way to refuse (for example "pay or accept" walls), and some can't be read reliably. Cookie Chomper leaves those to you and tells you so.
Free trial and subscription
- Each installation starts with a free trial of 14 days. No account or payment details are needed for the trial.
- After the trial, Cookie Chomper stops refusing banners unless you subscribe. You are never charged unless you subscribe yourself.
- A subscription costs €6 a year (€0.50 a month), paid yearly, including VAT where it applies, and renews automatically every year until you cancel it.
- We will tell you at least 30 days in advance if the price changes. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Our reseller, Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time through the link in Paddle's receipt email or by emailing us. Cookie Chomper keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for. Our refund policy explains when you get your money back; in short, a full refund within 14 days of any payment.
Fair use
Your subscription is for your own use of the extension. Please don't use Cookie Chomper's server for anything other than the extension's own requests, try to get around the trial or the subscription check, or send it automated traffic. We may suspend an installation that does, and we'll refund any unused part of its subscription.
Liability
Cookie Chomper is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused it, and we are not liable for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Changes
We may change these terms, for example when the extension gains new features. We'll post the new version here with its date, and tell you in advance by email or in the extension if a change matters to you. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of your subscription.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection your own country's law gives you. We'd like to solve any problem together first, so please email us. If that doesn't work, the competent court in the Netherlands decides, unless consumer law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
